The Orinda home my parents had built in 1956 was one of five built on a gently sloping hillside in Orinda, California. There were eleven oak trees on the property, one of which was beautifully positioned in the front yard of this L shaped, modular post and beam house. There was radiant heat in the monolithic cement slab which had a polished brown finish. [These professional photos were taken to be used in a magazine article about the house. This house was not built by developer Joseph Eichler, who built the house I live in today.]
