After all the concrete in the atrium was jackhammered—an ear-splitting process—came the really tough part: picking up the pieces and throwing them in a truck. I helped get the job done because these guys were running late and I did not want the job to drag on into day number four!
Once the concrete was removed I was left with bare ground, which had to be leveled and cleaned up. Of course it was all going to be torn up again when the garden was put in.
